Since youʻll be spending the day at Hoʻomau exploring all the many things that we have to offer, youʻre gonna get hungry. Mauiʻs Hawaiian immersion classes from Kula Kaiapuni o Maui provide a large array of drinks, snacks, salads, plate lunches and desserts to fill your ‘ōpū (stomach) and quench your thirst. So feel free to purchase your breakfast, lunch and/or dinner on March 24th and support our sister Hawaiian immersion classes.
In addition, we are happy to announce that we are continuing to mālama ‘āina (take care of the land) at Hoʻomau. Youʻll notice that Hoʻomau is also a zero-waste event and after you have enjoyed your meal, your compostable products will be separated and later composted. We are able to do this because of our partnership with Maui Huliau Foundation who will be manning the composting stations.
Finally, donʻt forget to bring your own container. We will provide free water at water stations located throughout the event so you can stay hydrated.
For more information about composting and hosting your own zero-waste event, contact Maui Huliau Foundation.
