Each year, Hawaiian practitioners are invited to share their cultural practices with guests at Hoʻomau. Demonstrations cover a large array of Hawaiian cultural practices including kuʻi kalo (poi pounding), fish net making/throwing, lauhala weaving, Hawaiian tattooing, kapa making, lei sewing and the list goes on and on. Our demonstration area is often a hands-on activity in which you and your family can enjoy learning about and participating in the cultural practice. If you have a Hawaiian cultural practice that youʻd like to share, please contact us and weʻll be happy to hear about what you have to offer.
